about.
This was a design assessment for PM Accelerator, with the goal of going beyond a typical weather app to demonstrate product thinking.

user research.
Designed around two real users.
Maya, a frequent traveler juggling time zones.
Ethan, a planner who needs months of weather data ahead of time.

key screens.
I designed the dashboard cards to show timezone offset directly, because Maya shouldn't have to calculate that it's 11:30 PM in Tokyo while sitting in Toronto.
I kept the forecast page to just temperature and rain probability, because when Maya is packing in a rush, UV index is noise, not signal.
I designed the monthly heatmap because Ethan needs to see a month's pattern at a glance, not scroll through 30 daily forecasts.
I used slide toggles for units because Maya switches between metric and imperial depending on which country she's in.

reflection.
Designing for two very different users forced every decision to have a reason. With more time, I'd test the heatmap with a real outdoor planner to validate it beyond Ethan's stated needs.
